Position Summary
Strategic Director is responsible for independently managing quantitative research projects from start to finish including hands-on data analysis and manipulation. Strategic Directors are expected to play a key role in project delivery, proposal writing and account development.
Candidates have the choice of working our of our office New York City office
or at the company headquarters located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Design and propose
research strategies and budgets and recommend and explain the benefits of
specific quantitative methodologies.
- Conduct quantitative
(segmentation and A&U studies) in an efficient, accurate, timely and skilled
manner.
- Analyze and report
research findings and make appropriate recommendations to the client.
- Contribute thoughts and
opinions in a positive manner to the Cheskin project team and the company as a
whole.
- Write and cost proposals
using the Cheskin templates.
- Design appropriate study
designs for a clients objectives.
- Develop questionnaires,
establish sampling criteria, write tab plans and analyze quantitative data.
- Oversee field progress.
Requirements
- Excellent written and
oral skills
- Undergraduate degree in
statistics, marketing or psychology/sociology preferable
- Minimum of 10 years
experience conducting quantitative research studies in a consumer-based
environment, including hands-on data manipulation
- MS Office Expertise:
proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced SPSS skills
Desirables
- Understanding of
consumer behavior and strategic marketing
- Masters Degree or
equivalent; social science, marketing or business preferable
- Experience in
supply-side market research or similar experience with clients in a research
or service-oriented environment.

Senior level full-service
qualitative researcher needed. Responsibilities include:
- writing proposals and
assisting the Business Development team to secure new business
- writing screeners and
discussion guides
- conducting IDIs,
moderating focus groups (in Spanish with native Spanish speakers)
- writing top lines,
reports and overseeing production of video reporting
- presenting findings and
recommendations to client team
Requirements:
- experience moderating
focus groups in a consumer setting in Spanish with native Spanish speakers
- excellent writing and
analytical skills
- minimum 3 years market
research experience
- Ability to travel
domestically and internationally
- Undergraduate degree (or
equivalent experience) in marketing or social science
- Passion for
understanding cultural nuance and developing key cultural insights from
consumer data
- Working knowledge of
quantitative research techniques ideal, but not required

An expanding advertising agency outside Washington, DC has an immediate opening for a Senior Account Executive. You will be responsible for day-to-day coordination with the client for advertising and PR campaigns, strategic planning and coordination with Creative and Media. · Bachelor's degree in advertising or other communication related field
· Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in advertising, marketing, public relations or related field

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Multicultural Initiatives is to develop programs, activities, relationships and processes that will assist individual Councils and the Girl Scout movement in increasing the awareness and valuing multiculturalism by reaching and engaging previously underserved markets of girls and adults. She/he serves as a consultant and technical resource to Councils in targeting, reaching and recruiting and retaining girl members and adult volunteers in designated ethnic, cultural and racial markets.
The Manager, Multicultural Initiatives works to develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies and methodologies to identify, attract, recruit and retain girls and adult volunteers from emerging and/or underserved ethnic markets with strong emphasis within the Hispanic and/or Asian community. She/he initiates relationships, makes public presentations, develops proposals, and seeks every opportunity to expand the visibility and attractiveness of the Girl Scout movement to the assigned ethnic and racial organizations and audiences.
Minimum 3 to 5 years prior
experience working in organizations (e.g., Foundations, community based
organizations, public agencies, etc.) that specifically target, attract and
recruit members of underserved ethnic populations strongly preferred.
Emphasis in the Hispanic and/or Asian community is strongly preferred.
Depending on the ethnic market
being served or targeted, fluency in a language other than English may be
required.
Must have a recent and active professional network within professional organizations, corporations, public agencies, etc. that deal specifically with issues of multiculturalism and diversity.
Must have excellent and
demonstrated platform skills in order to make presentations to diverse
organizations and groups as a way of “selling” the Girl Scout commitment to
multiculturalism. Depending on the audience being addressed, presentations
may be in a language other than English.
Excellent writing skills in order to develop presentations, proposals, etc.
Bachelors Degree in training, marketing or similar field strongly preferred. Extensive and recent experience working in grass roots organizations or corporate environments where targeting and reaching specific ethnic organizations was a primary responsibility may serve as a proxy to the formal education.
